Modular Ramps Make Life Much Easier for These Veterans

Ramps are a simple yet highly effective way to increase accessibility and mobility for a veteran, or anyone living with mobility issues, for that matter. LiveWell recently installed modular ramps for two separate veterans.

By going with an aluminum, modular ramp, we can configure this to the exact needs of the veteran for less than a custom built wooden ramp. Not only does it cost less, the ramp can be easily removed and dismantled if it is ever no longer needed. This configuration allows for the veteran to access the entrance/exit of his home without having to leave the safety of his wheelchair or other mobility devices.

Our second veteran had very limited space but needed something to help get in and out of the home. These short modular ramps were just the ticket! A ramp for both his front entrance and garage entrance now gives him a sturdy, safe way to enter his home without having to step up a step and over a threshold.

Both projects were fully funded for these veterans by the VA. Ramp, bathroom modifications and other mobility devices can often be covered if the needs of the veteran allow him to qualify. Talk to your VA doctor for more information and then give us a call to discuss how we can help!
